iria:

Iria is a bounty hunter from the planet Myce. She is her brother's apprentice until tragety strikes during a hijacking. Teamed up with her partner Bob, Iria is a on quest to find her brother and the origin of the monster he fought, Zeiram.

Fujikuro:

Fujikuro is another bounty hunter Bob gives missions to. He finds it unfair that Gren gets the big news breaking missions and he gets your everyday criminal. He tries to tag along with Gren and Bob on a hijacking mission. Iria stops him and he arrives at the transit gate just a second to late.

When Iria arrives back on Myce, computer Bob hires him to portect Iria. He knows that since she was the only physical survivor of teh hijacking, that hasn't be silenced, many people are out to kill her. Iria tries to turn down Fujikuro's help when they are attack by guards of the same compant she saved during the hijacking. After loosing the guards and Iria steals computer Bob, Fujikuro helps her get her Bounty Hunter license and aids her in battle.

Gren:

Gren is Iria's older brother. He's the best bounty hunter and has been training Iria to be like him since she was little. When Iria finds out another bounty hunter is going on the mission when he's supposed to stay on Myce, Gren lets Iria go with him and Bob on the mission after throwing the bounty hunter.

During the mission, Gren comes across the "cargo" that killed the hijackers; Zeiram. He helps free the hostages and it ends up in a fight for him and Iria to live. He plants nukes in the ship while Iria escapes on his orders. He stays back with the monster. When Zeiram and Iria both land on the same planet, She wonders if Gren is alive. She comes across his evil clone later along with Zeiram;s evil clones... but wait a sec? DOesn't something have to be alive to be cloned?

Bob:

Bob was Gren's partner and new Iria and Gren their whole lives. He became Gren's partner. You can call him the kickass secretary when he still had his body. He got the mission information, told Gren and helped blow the shit out of the bad guys. During the hijacking, he holds off Zeiram until Gren returns. He gets badly injured adn Iria sends him back to Myce with the hostages while she and Gren decide to take care of Zeiram. Once Bob gets to Myce, his body dies but his mind is saved in a computer program. When Iria finds computer Bob, she steals him and instals him into her system so he can stay her partner and help hack into systems so she knows how to get to the bad guy and what equiptment is operating.

Kei:

Kei lived in the Shadow Zone and was apart of a gang of kids lead by her friend Komimasa. She runs into Iria and helps her throw off Zeiram. After the battle in the Shadow Zone, Kei gives Iria a mini com that was Gren's (Iria's broter.) Before Iria can go, Kei steals her favorite hairbead to remember her friend by. Later, she and Komimasa try to sneak off to Myce to be safe and so Kei could find Iria. Later, while sneaking off, they get some uninvited guests they'd rather forget.

Puttubayh:

Puttubayh is the incarge of the Corporation that's ship was hijacked. He was attempting to carry Zeiram, and invincible space monster, to a lab to make him a bio weapon. During the hijacking, the hijackers must've thought the cargo was something else. When thet freed Zeiram, he killed the hijackers and took control of the ship and began to attack corporation workers. Puttabayh gave the workers who survived, new identities and made Bob a computer for his own use. When he learned Iria had survived and had the only proof of his scheme, he sent out to kill her. Instead, she stole Bob, kept the evidence and destroyed the inside of his corporation buiding.

Dr. Touka:

Dr. Touka is the only Zeiram expert left. Years before the Puttubayh incodent, when Zeiram was first rumored about, he had been apart of a team that studied Zeiram. When they discovered how dangerous it was, the program was shut down by the government and no one was allowed to even attempt to capture Zeiram for any purpose. He was sent to Myce when Zeiram showed up. On board, Kei adn Komimasa hid. The doc's ship was hijacked and Zeiram clones killed the hijackers once on Myce. Iria showed up to help the doc and ran into a clone of Gren among the Zeirams. She fought with the evil Gren and was hesitant because it looked just like her brother. When the evil clone killed Komimasa, Iria got pissed and killed the clone. After this happened, Dr. Touka collected samples to study Zeiram and was able to predict a Zeiram attacked. The administrators laughed at his ideas to destroy Zeiram. Back in his lab, he ran into Iria and Kei who had listened to the conversation. They had a plan to get Zeiram and the doc told them everything they needed to know.

Zeiram:

Zeiram is an unkillable, evil space creature captured by Puttubayh to be used as a bio a weapon. When it was released by accident, it ran wild with one thing on its mind; kill anything that moves. When the hijacked ship, the Karma, was nuked by Iria and Gren, Zeiram was barely alive. He somehow found the alive Gren and fed off his life support and took over gren to make himself a new body, leaving the helpless Gren to watch in horro as hi body was used to attack people, even his own sister. Gren breaks free of Zeiram for a few seconds, and tells Iria he's sorry and to destroy Zeiram by killing him. If you look closely while watching the animation, after the Karma incident, Zeiram is wearing Gren's armor in the Shadow Zone and you can make out a red eye on his neck.
